Randy Solem was the first newgrounds artist that I knew by name. My friends and I have fond memories of watching his films as they came out. He was a talented and funny man, and I wish his family all the best as they work through this tragedy. I believe his daughter will grow up to be proud of her father; he was a really cool guy.

Very talented and took his Flash seriously. His work was the first well made pixel animation I ever saw and by many is regarded the best to this day. Rest in Peace Randy.

There's no freakin way... I just found out about this today when I was curious about that flash animator I used to watch all the time as a kid. I am literally crying right now. He was the first flash animator I ever had the privilege of watching, and to this day his works are some of the best. At that time I was getting bullied at school a lot, and his videos always cheered me up. I just wish he could've known how much his videos meant to me back then. Thank you Randy, your videos always managed to bring a smile to my face in a time when there wasn't much to smile about. You will be missed, and I hope you're in a better place.

Damn. Coming back to revisit old flash animations I used to like when I was young and I find this. May you rest in peace, Randy, your fast and smooth style of animations will always be a part of my childhood and I'm sad to see it end this way. My condolences to the family.
